Key Features
1. Breaks down into 4 lightweight parts: easy to carry up stairs or fit in a sedan trunk for moving day.
2. Dedicated compartment for a portable induction stove, hidden underneath the sliding countertop.
3. Built-in cord organizer for the portable induction stove, keeping it organized and accessible.
4. Pull-out table for extra space and hanging kitchen towels.
5. Wheels let the whole unit move to the outlet, instead of running a cord across the room.
Most university students and young adults in Taiwan rent suites, often converted from older houses with no elevators. Rooms come with basic furniture such as a desk, a chair, and a bed, but no kitchen. Eating out is relatively cheap and convenient, so often landlords refuse to add a even a simple kitchen to the rooms, since it cost more time and money to renovate and take up space the room doesn't have.
However, plenty of renters still want to cook something simple in their own room. With limited outlets and no space to spare, renters end up running induction stoves off extension cords, a setup that's awkward at best and a fire risk at worst.
